We have 10 shops and a large donation Warehouse and Distribution centre covering St Helens and Knowsley. They operate through the support of our wonderful volunteers. Our charity shops recycle or sell anything from furniture, books and clothes to electrical goods and childrens toys. We also have an on-line shop selling new goods and an ebay shop selling good quality donated goods.
All the money raised from our shops goes towards caring for local patients in need of the special care that we provide.
To help us to continue raising much needed funds for the Hospice, we rely totally on the generosity of local people. Please think of us first if you are changing your furniture or having a sort out. We always need good quality donations and only sell furniture which complies with current regulations and toys with the appropriate CE mark. We also PAT test all the electrical goods that we sell.
Anyone of our 10 shops can accept your donations during shop opening hours. If the items you wish to donate are bulky or if you have difficulty in getting to one of our shops then call our collection line 01744 766929 and we will be happy to make arrangements with you to pick up the goods. If in doubt, give us a call. We also offer a delivery service to take out the worry of getting that three piece suite home!
When you donate any goods we will ask you to sign a ‘gift aid’ declaration. This means that we can claim back tax from the government which to us is an extra 25% on the sale price.
Rags to riches
We have a great reputation for selling good quality clothes but on occasions we receive clothes which for one reason or another we can’t sell. Nevertheless there is still a market for these types of clothes so still donate them to us and we will be happy to decide if they can be sold in our shops or to commercial textile recyclers who turn the clothes into cash.
You can support our shops by donating to us, buying from us or taking time out to volunteer. It’s one of the simplest ways to help the Hospice, so why not give us a call and see how you can help. We need volunteer delivery drivers, volunteers to sell in the shops, help in the warehouse, help to answer the phones and help in the office. Why not make a difference today?
What's happening in the future
We will be opening a shop near the Four Acre Estate in Clockface early November 2013. This shop will sell furniture, clothes, bric a brac, books and DVDs. We have high hopes for this shop situated just round the corner from Tesco’s with plenty of parking near where our supporters live.
We urgently require volunteers in all our shops, if you can spare a morning or afternoon to help us out please contact Ian Turnbull on 0151 430 8736.
Our Returns Policy
Customers can return an item within 7 days. To receive a full refund of the cost of the item, it must be returned in the same condition in which it was received. Return postage is the responsibility of the customer. However, if the goods are faulty, then return postage will be refunded.
