Salary: Band 7 (pro-rata £29,789 - £39,273 dependant on experience)
Hours of work: 25 hours per week to be worked flexibly by agreement
Willowbrook Hospice is an innovative independent Hospice providing Specialist Palliative Care, serving the communities of St Helens & Knowsley. Our services include: 10 bed In-Patient Service, a Family Support Service and Outreach Services – which include Consultant Out-patient clinics and Day Care for up to 50 patients per week.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic ordained minister to join our established multi-professional team in providing a Specialist Chaplaincy service for the organisation. You will primarily manage the Family Support Service in conjunction with a Specialist Palliative Social Worker whilst ensuring equitable provision of pastoral, spiritual and religious care of patients and their families, as well as for Hospice staff and volunteers. You will lead the development of a volunteer chaplaincy service and input to our integrated multi-disciplinary education programmes.
Experience of teaching and working in a healthcare setting is preferable and the approval of the applicant’s faith community will be an essential requirement.
