Drivers

The Hospice provides a volunteer driving service to patients who would otherwise be unable to attend the Hospice. Our drivers collect our patients from their homes and then take them back again on the Day Therapy Days - Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

In addition, drivers also undertake general collection and delivery duties to and from Whiston and St Helens Hospitals (eg files, notes etc).

The Hospice pays each driver a mileage allowance of 40 pence per mile at the end of each month.
