Sky Dive

Date:
Sun, 23/09/2012 - 09:00
Location:
Black Knights Parachute Centre Cockerham, Lancashire

A fantastic adrenaline rush from 14,000ft.

Do you dare to sit on the edge of the plane, looking at the views for miles around, the wind in your face, preparing yourself to jump out? Go on... you can do it..!

The skydive will take place at the Black Knights Parachute Centre, Hillam Lane, Cockerham, Lancs, LA2 0DY. This centre has been operating since 1964 and is now one of the longest established parachute training centres in the UK. Affiliated to the British Parachute Association, Black Knights offers facilities and training for both first time jumpers and experienced skydivers. Return transport will be offered however you are free to make your own way there with friends and family.

The attached information pack tells you all about the skydive and includes the entry form to complete once you have made the nerve-racking decision to complete the jump. Also enclosed is a Declaration of Fitness form which must be completed by all skydivers. If you are 40 year old or older or have any medical conditions you must obtain a Doctor’s signature and stamp before you can register to take part.

To secure your skydive there is a £50 non-refundable deposit payable upon entry. We ask that you raise a minimum sponsorship of £395. This covers the cost of the skydive which as you can appreciate is an expensive event to arrange. The actual cost of the skydive is £225 so we ask for a minimum sponsorship level to make the event financial viable for the Hospice. The more you can raise, the more Willowbrook Hospice will benefit.

At Willowbrook Hospice our aim is to enhance the quality of life for people living with life limiting illnesses. We do this by providing specialist palliative care to those in need and support to their families and carers. Our ethos is ‘Time for Caring’ and this is reflected in everything we do. To provide such an invaluable service it costs over £2.6 million each year and this is raised through various fundraising initiatives and from the generosity of local people. Together we can make a difference.
