Our Community

The generosity of the local community allows us to care for our patients today and plan for our patients of the future. It costs £3 million each year to provide our specialist care, that’s over £5 every single minute, so your donations are not only greatly appreciated but also vital.

Our aim is to provide ‘time for caring’ and your support helps us to achieve this. Without the support of our local community we wouldn’t be able to achieve, we wouldn’t be able to grow and most importantly we wouldn’t be able to care. Our future lies in your hands.

There's often a story behind every donation to Willowbrook

"Throughout St Helens, fundraising Tea Parties for the Hospice are well supported, even though the weather these last few summers have not been the best for outdoor parties. Is this a signal to change a winning fundraising formula."

"So this year, instead of a summer tea party, we will be having a 'festive coffee Morning' in November - keeping ourselves warm inside the church hall - and selling mince pies instead of cupcakes"

"A good supporter of the past few tea parties is 91 year old Ron Tench. Ron has kept an allotment and been a keen gardener for the most of his life. He still has the most productive greenhouses around the old Eccleston area! This year he kindly donated bedding plants to be sold in aid of Hospice funds. They went like hot-cakes and raised £75"

"We have previously raised over £1,000 at each Tea Party and with the help of Ron and his bedding plants, we are already on our way to that target, which will hopefully be achieved after the festive coffee morning in November... THANK YOU RON!"

Rainford Tea @ Three

A big thank you to Viv Gillon and the fabulous team at Rainford for hosting their Tea at Three this past weekend, which has raised over £500 for the hospice.

Let’s see how our community has been supporting us lately...
