Care Quality Commission
The Care Quality Commission is the independent regulator of all health and social care services in England. Their job is to make sure that care provided by hospices meets government standards of quality and safety.
When the Care Quality Commission carried out an unannounced inspection of Willowbrook Hospice on the 17th January 2014 they reported that all standards were being met.
Charities receive support from society in many ways and the public have the right to expect that charities are open and accountable.
The Charity Commission registers and regulates charities in England and Wales and it is their job to make sure that charities meet all their legal requirements.
Willowbrook Hospice was set up as a charity, number 1020240, to raise funds to build a hospice and thereafter to provide specialist palliative care services to the people of St Helens and Knowsley. Willowbrook complies with all the requirements of the Charity Commission.
Willowbrook Hospice is a private limited company, numbered 2808633, limited by guarantee. Our financial accounts are audited by independent Chartered Accountants and Registered Auditors, Livesey Spottiswood
In their opinion the financial statements give a true and fair view of the state of the Charity’s company affairs as at the 31st March 2011. They have been prepared in accordance with standard accounting practice and the requirements of the Companies Act 2006
