So let’s look back at the last 10 years
We’ve had some laughs
And shed some tears
Many staff have come and gone
We have fond thoughts of everyone
It started off as just a dream
A group of people who formed a team
With thoughts of building something great
To serve lots of people from all over the place
And that dream certainly has come true
With all the support and help from you
Those thoughts are now a reality
A success, I feel, for all to see
So much has gone on
Behind the scenes
That has played a part
In ‘building the dream’
Our volunteer help
Has been second to none
So much has been done by everyone
It’s that special something that you all do
That magic ingredient that makes dreams come true
All of you do it in different ways
We see it happen every day
There are those who do it from their own homes!
And some who do it on the phone!
Others can do it inside a shop!
Whilst some will do it using a mop!
Our drivers do it from behind a wheel
Whilst others do it making a meal
But whether it’s being done from behind a desk
Whether it’s neat and tidy or you make a mess
Whether it’s once a month or every week
Downstairs, upstairs or in the street
Your special magic means so much
You can’t wrap it up or reach out and touch
Commitment, kindness, warmth and support
It’s a special gift which cannot be bought
So may we thank you again tonight
For helping us to get everything right
Without you all we would not exist
So enjoy yourselves but don’t . . . drink too much!
