How Volunteers Help
The Hospice has a huge number of strongly committed volunteers who help at the Hospice, our shops and in fundraising activities. All give their valuable personal time to do anything from working in the shops, mailing and administration, fundraising or helping on the wards.
There are over over 250 registered volunteers who work for Willowrook Hospice across the organisation. The skills that volunteers bring to the Hospice are varied and invaluable. They are of great benefit to Willowbrook.
Can you help?
A few hours a week makes a huge difference to the care given to people with life-threatening illnesses, their families and carers and helps to keep Willowbrook running.
There are many different opportunities and a wide range of activities you can become involved with. No previous experience is required and full training will be provided wherever necessary. Your hours as a volunteer can be arranged to fit in with your other commitments. These are examples of some of the jobs we need
- Driving
- Reception
- Administration
- Gardening
- Cleaning
- Complementary Therapist
- Fundraising
- Organise a Fundraising event
- Collect Money
- Shop worker
It may also be that you can provide Wilowbrook with contacts in the business world. We are always looking for opportunities to work with the corporate sector for fundraising and for the smooth operation of our organisation.
