The Hospice provides a volunteer driving service to patients who would otherwise be unable to attend the Hospice. Our drivers collect people from their homes and then take them back again. In addition, drivers also undertake general collection and delivery duties to and from Whiston/St Helens Hospitals (eg files, notes etc).
The Hospice pays each driver a mileage allowance of 40 pence per mile at the end of each month.
