Willowbrook Hospice
Willowbrook Hospice is a registered charity funded by local donations caring for local people who have life theatening and life limiting illnesses. Over 400 new patients are referred to us each and every year and with the existing patients we have the honour to care for that means we look after approximately a thousand patients a year.
If you would like to read how invaluable the money is that we raise through the Willowbrook Hospice lottery then please take a little while to read some of the thank you cards we have received recently by clicking here.
Why do we need to raise funds?
It costs £2m a year to keep the Hospice open, which amounts to :-
- £5,479 a day.
- £228 per hour
- £3.80 a minute
We are able to offer our services for free because of the generous donations and support of local people, a small contribution from the NHS and the money we raise through our local Willowbrook Hospice lottery and Charity Shops.
There are 525,600 minutes in a year. When you are faced with a life limiting illness every one of those minutes counts. By completing a lottery standing order for £1 a week, that will be 13 minutes of care that we won't have to worry about.
Even though we have a long way to go, a journey of a hundred miles starts with one step. Please take that first step for our patients by joining now. Click here for a Willowbrook Hosipce Lottery application form.
Your contribution
You don't have any control over the good causes supported by some national lotteries but you can be sure that by joining your local Willowbrook Hospice lottery, all the money raised goes to Willowbrook Hospice for the care of patients living in the local communities of St Helens and Knowsley.
How can I join?
You never know, it might just be you who wins the lottery next week. If you would like to join our lottery and help to raise funds for a very worthy cause please click here
