HELP US TO RAISE £450,000
The demand for patient services at Willowbrook Hospice continues as we unveil Phase II of our expansion plans; the building of a dedicated Outpatients’ Suite and Carers’ Area at the rear of the Hospice.
We have been awarded a grant of £604,000 from the Department of Health, but need to raise approximately £450,000 to complete the project.
WHY WE NEED TO EXPAND
Like many charitable hospices, the demand for our services has outgrown the current Hospice building. At the moment we use two converted bedrooms as consulting rooms. By building a dedicated Outpatients’ Suite we can reclaim these two single rooms as bedrooms, to give our patients improved privacy during their care.
WHAT WE WANT TO BUILD
The new Outpatients’ Suite will have its own separate entrance, creating a welcoming introduction to Willowbrook for those patients who are new to the Hospice. On entering, there will be a spacious reception area and pleasant garden lounge. This will look out onto newly landscaped, tranquil, therapeutic gardens.
Once the extension has been completed, the gardens will be landscaped making them even more accessible for our patients and carers to enjoy. We hope to incorporate fragrant planting with areas to sit, eat and talk in private; areas to rest in the sun or shade with pieces of sculpture.
WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP
Although we have received a grant of £604,000 from the Dept of Health, we cannot achieve our target without your support; appeals will be made to national and local Trusts and businesses, as well as individuals. We would be grateful for any donation you can make towards the cost of our new extension.
